Both the 2025 Genesis GV80 and the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe offer robust power, luxurious interiors, and customizable features, making them excellent options for your next luxury SUV. However, there are some key differences we’ve broken down to help you decide before heading to your Genesis dealership.
Robust Powertrains
The 2025 GV80 offers smooth, powerful acceleration, thanks to the 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is standard, along with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2025 GV80 Coupe also features all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic, but the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 under the hood delivers 375 hp and 391 lb-ft with the base model, or 409 hp and 405 lb-ft with the optional electronic supercharger.
Passenger and Cargo Capacities
Both GV80 SUVs seat up to five people, but the regular GV80 offers about an inch more legroom in each row than the GV80 Coupe. The GV80 also offers more cargo space, with 36.5 cubic feet available behind the second row and 71.7 cubes behind the first row, compared to 29.3 cubic feet behind the rear seat of the GV80 Coupe and 61 cubic feet with the second row folded. A hands-free power liftgate is standard on both models.
Interior Luxury
Heated front seats, an integrated memory system with Smart Posture Care, and adjustable ambient lighting are standard in both the GV80 and the GV80 Coupe. The Coupe features a panoramic sunroof, which is optional in the GV80, but you’ll have to upgrade to the Select model. The Coupe also boasts ventilated front seats, heated and ventilated power rear seats, and Nappa leather seating surfaces, while leatherette is standard in the GV80.
Multimedia and Connectivity
A 27-inch OLED display contains the digital instrument cluster and navigation system in both SUVs. Wireless smartphone integration, Genesis Connected Services, a fingerprint authentication system, wireless charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot with a 90-day trial subscription all come standard. For a deluxe listening experience and limited outside noise, only the GV80 Coupe comes with a standard Bang & Olufsen premium audio system and active noise control.
