Spark Plug Replacement

A spark plug provides the ignition source for the fuel-air mixture in each cylinder. Once fuel and air have mixed in the intake manifold, the mixture is drawn into the cylinder and compressed by the fast-rising piston. At the height of compression, the spark plug fires and ignites the mixture in a controlled series of explosions to produce combustion.

Spark plugs wear out like all other components, and worn plugs make igniting the fuel-air mixture more difficult. They cause the fuel-air mixture to burn irregularly, wasting fuel and decreasing engine performance. Misfiring and stalling caused by bad plugs can cause long-term engine damage. We’ll test each spark plug and replace any worn or damaged ones.

Belt Replacement

The two most important belts in your Genesis are the timing and serpentine belts. The timing belt connects the camshaft at the top of your engine to the crankshaft at the bottom of the engine. This synchronizes the valve’s opening and closing and the movement of the pistons. The serpentine belt connects to the crankshaft and moves across a series of pulleys, which then spin and power systems connected to them.

These belts are made from toughened, reinforced rubber to provide strength and flexibility. Despite their strength, these belts will age, become less flexible, and crack. They can also lose their tension and either tighten, which risks the belt breaking or falling off. Our technicians can correct belt tensioning or replace either belt if it’s worn or damaged.

Tire Care

Your tires are subject to constant abrasion as you drive, and they will suffer additional wear if the wheels have alignment or balancing issues. Incorrect tire pressure exposes softer sections of a tire to potential damage or stretches the tire to weaken it. While it is impossible to prevent tire wear, it can be reduced and tire life increased through good tire care.

We can correct all these issues for you. Our computerized wheel alignment machine adjusts each wheel to correctly align it again. Each tire can be rebalanced to distribute weight equally and reduce wear. We can also adjust your tire pressure to prevent unnecessary friction damage.
