The gas-powered GV70 has two powertrain options. The 2.5T model is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged I4 motor, which produces 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. The second engine option is standard on the 3.5T Sport. The 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 motor offers 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque for more overall power. Both motors have a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and AWD system.
The Electrified GV70 is powered by an electric motor that generates 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, making it the more powerful of the two SUV models. The fully electric model has a single-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel driveline. The transmission can cycle through Eco, Sport, Sport Plus, Custom, and Comfort driving modes for customized performance.
Efficiency and Capacities
The Electrified GV70 and gas-powered GV70 both have a 3,500-lb maximum towing capacity when properly equipped. The estimated cargo space behind the second-row seats is 28.9 cubic feet on the GV70 and 28.7 cubic feet on the Electrified GV70, giving you plenty of room to tote cargo without reducing seat capacity. Both models offer roughly 56 cubic feet of cargo capacity when the second-row seats are flat.
Key Features
The GV70 comes with a 14.5-inch navigation system that supports streaming with HD Radio, a 90-day SiriusXM trial, Bluetooth, and smartphone-integrated apps. This model has heated and ventilated front-row seats with power-adjustable ergonomic cushions and a memory system and massaging lumbar support for the driver.
The Electrified GV70 has a power liftgate, a remote keyless entry system with illuminated entry, and perimeter approach lights. Drivers can activate the adaptive cruise control system with steering wheel-mounted controls.
